Chicken Sausage Roast-Chicken Franks Masala Recipe-Indian style

Hi Foodies . Today was one of those lazy days when I was clueless about what to cook for lunch. I walked towards the kitchen without much interest and opened the door of my freezer only to find a pack of chicken sausages lying there. And I instantly knew what I would do next. You guessed it right! Its Chicken Sausage Roast.

The sausage roast is a great starter. But it also makes a great combo聽with聽Roti or Pita bread (Khubz as it is called here) and rice too.You only need a handful of ingredients to make this spicy recipe. Lets start with the recipe.. Shall we?

A spicy sausage roast

Ingredients
  • 6-7 Chicken sausages
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tbsp red chilly powder (kashmiri)
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 - 2 tsp pepper powder (adjust according to your spice level)
  • salt to taste
Directions
  • Step 1 Thaw the chicken franks or sausages to room temparature. Cut them into roundels.
  • Step 2 Heat oil in a pan. Add onions.Saute till it turns translucent.
  • Step 3 Add ginger garlic paste.Saute till it leaves the raw smell.Add in tomatoes.
  • Step 4 Add red chilly powder , coriander powder, salt. Mix well.
  • Step 5 Add the sausage roundels and give a gentle mix to coat the sausage with the spices.
  • Step 6 Cover with a lid and cook for 5 mins on medium flame. If you feel it is getting too dry add few tbsp of water.
  • Step 7 Once sausages are cooked completely add the pepper powder. Mix gently.
  • Step 8 Switch off the flame.Hot chicken sausage roast is ready to serve!!

Heat oil in a pan. Add onions.Saute till it turns translucent.Add ginger garlic paste.Fry till it leaves the raw smell.

Add in tomatoes. Next goes in the red chilly powder , coriander powder, salt. Mix well. Toss in the 聽sausage roundels and give a gentle mix to coat the sausage with the spices.

Cover with a lid and cook for 5 mins on medium flame. If you feel it is getting too dry adding a few tbsp of water should help.Once sausages are cooked completely finally add the pepper powder. Mix gently.

Switch off the flame.Hot chicken sausage roast is ready to serve!!
